YOU'VE GOT (REAL) MAIL!
Nowadays,
people rarely receive a handwritten note in the mail. The vast majority of correspondence is sent
electronically. Stop and think about it;
when is the last time you received something handwritten in your mailbox? Particularly, when is the last time you received
a handwritten note in the mail from someone you transacted business with?
I
recommend to all my clients that, to really stand out from the crowd, they
should make a practice of sending handwritten notes to prospects and
customers. After meeting with a new
prospect, write them a note thanking them for taking the time to meet with
you. After you’ve completed a
transaction with a customer, write them a note expressing your appreciation for
their continued business. There are many
occasions when you can send a personal yet professional handwritten note. Go ahead - start sending notes and enjoy the
great feedback you’ll get from those who receive them.
